The third week of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival featuring the Grinch, the Torta Party, the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck and Vanna!

From week to week, the Dubrovnik Winter Festival continues to grow richer, bringing visitors new attractions and festive experiences. The third week continues at the same pace, offering a diverse programme of events throughout the city. As Christmas Eve approaches, the 12th Dubrovnik Winter Festival raises emotions, while Advent days become increasingly filled with colourful children’s performances, visits from Santa Claus, engaging workshops, dance parties for young and old, and evenings featuring alternating DJ sets and live performances.

Saturday, 13 December begins with the ART UP fair at the TUP Gallery, titled Fine Art Works by Dubrovnik Artists: “Art Accessible to Everyone”, running from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. At 10 a.m., the Christmas Fashion Flea Market starts at Luža and lasts until 2 p.m., with all donations intended for the Domus Christi Home for the Elderly. On Stradun at 11 a.m., the traditional Torta Party begins, accompanied by a concert by Domenica and Ante Cash. As part of Colourful Winter in the Bay, at 1:30 p.m. the Dubrovnik City Music ensemble performs on the stage by the fountain, followed at 2 p.m. by the Kolarin Theatre Group with the play “The Hedgehog’s Home”.

The Advent City Walk, organised by the Dubrovnik Libraries, starts at 3 p.m. The first stop is Božidarevićeva Street, where participants will learn about the history of the former church and the life of St Barbara, along with an introduction to other highlights of the one-hour walk. This is followed by Stories of Advent Holidays, customs and carolling, with singing and wheat planting led by Ena Mutapčić, Tajana Kera and Nikola Lazarević, in cooperation with FA Linđo.

The traditional Coca-Cola Christmas Truck brings the magical spirit of Christmas to the very centre of the city, at Pile–Brsalje, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visitors can enjoy Christmas music and artificial snow, take part in interactive activities, and take photos with Santa Claus, creating unforgettable holiday memories.

Under the creative guidance of Giovanna Kličan from Art Studio Kantunić, at 3 p.m. the youngest participants will immerse themselves in a warm and imaginative festive atmosphere through Christmas-themed painting at a workshop held in the Parish of the Holy Family. At 5 p.m., the magical world of fairy tales comes to life through Vanja Balent (Aster Dubrovnik), who will lead children through the timeless classic Snow White, followed at 6 p.m. by a cheerful workshop of carols and traditional Christmas songs led by the Dubrovnik Children’s Choir.

The programme in Mokošica, at the Parish of Christ the Saviour, begins at 3:30 p.m. with a workshop on making nativity scenes and Christmas decorations organised by the Mokošica Parish Caritas. At 5 p.m., the children’s play “The Light of Saint Lucy” will be performed by educators from the religious groups of DV Mala kuća. The programme concludes with the ceremonial lighting of the third Advent candle, accompanied by a performance by children from DV Mala kuća.

At 5 p.m., the Rector’s Palace hosts a stage and musical presentation of Christmas customs by the Podravske Sesvete Pensioners’ Association.

On the Lovrijenac stage at 5:30 p.m., young visitors will enjoy an interactive encounter with the Grinch through a humorous and dynamic musical-stage story filled with laughter and festive charm. Admission is free.

At 6 p.m., Rapunzel, a guest performance by GKM Split, will be staged at the Marin Držić Theatre (Main Stage). At the same time, the exhibition “Space for Small Formats” by Lena Kramarić opens at the Zlatarska 1 studio. The evening programme at Advent Park continues with a concert by Daleka obala – Jadran, Dean and Zoki, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, 14 December is reserved for a workshop for children and adults at the Bunić–Kaboga Summer Residence titled “Lighting Up the Holidays – Making Clay Lamps”, starting at 10 a.m. Mornings at the TUP Gallery continue with the ART UP fair “Art Accessible to Everyone”, showcasing a variety of works by Dubrovnik artists.

At 11 a.m., Rapunzel will be performed again for children at the Marin Držić Theatre (Main Stage). At the same time, Advent Park hosts a cheerful children’s programme filled with play, music and lively animation by Aster Dubrovnik and their “Buzzing Bees”, along with Medolino animators.

At 2 p.m., the Cabrio Bus arrives in Mokošica with a lively performance by Klapa Feral and playful animation by Medo and dancers from Lazareti Dance Studio, turning the streets into a joyful festival stage. Sweet gift packages for the youngest are provided by Kraš Croatia.

At the North Pole Station – TIC Pile, thanks to The City in Colours of Imagination, children aged 4 to 10 can take part in creative activities inspired by Dubrovnik customs, songs and stories, led by Marina Puljizević Maštrina, starting at 2 p.m.

At 5 p.m., the Bunić–Kaboga Summer Residence hosts the festive closing evening of the Kaboga Carols and Christmas Songs workshop by the Dubrovnik Children’s Choir, celebrating tradition, togetherness and festive warmth.

At 5:30 p.m., Grinchovanje at Lovrijenac takes place at Fort Lovrijenac, transforming the fortress into a magical stage for the whole family. Admission is free.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck returns to Pile on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., bringing warmth, smiles and shared festive moments.

At 6 p.m., the Rector’s Palace hosts a ceremonial presentation of Pannonian Christmas nativity scenes, accompanied by a concert by Ivana Jelača (fortepiano) and Marija Lešaja (soprano), organised by the Croatian-Austrian Society. At 8 p.m., the Advent concert of klapas and choirs of the Dubrovnik Diocese takes place at the Franciscan Church, offering a rich repertoire of Christmas songs. Throughout the festival, Galijun Tirena offers a rich gastronomic selection in the Old Port for the first time, celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Tuesday, 16 December, at 5 p.m., the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for First Communion children takes place at the Church of Christ the Saviour. At 7 p.m., Dubrovnik Libraries (Lapad branch) host “The Joy of Christmas” storytelling sessions and workshops for children aged 4 and up. At the same time, a retrospective exhibition of Josip Škerlj opens at the Dubrovnik Art Gallery. The Marin Držić Theatre hosts Magical Advent with dance and music by Dance Recreation Studio Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik majorettes from 7 p.m., while the Sabioncello Band performs at 8 p.m. in front of the Student Dormitory.

Wednesday, 17 December, brings Step’n Jazz: The Classroom of Christmas Rhythm to the Marin Držić Theatre at 6 p.m. At the same time, traditional carols and festive chants revive Cinema Visia, organised by the Dubrovnik Youth Forum. The interactive Step’n Jazz programme returns to the theatre stage at 8 p.m.

Thursday, 18 December is dedicated to creative workshops. From 3 p.m., Anamarija Bezek leads a Christmas wreath-making workshop. At 4:30 p.m., the painting workshop “Winter Mobile” with Ivana Gille (Histerija) inspires children with winter-themed art. The programme concludes at 6 p.m. with a soldering workshop (LEMIonica) led by the Futura IT Club in cooperation with the Dubrovnik Technical Culture Association. From 5 to 6:30 p.m., Christmas cookie baking takes place in Mokošica.

At 7 p.m., The Nutcracker, directed by Paolo Tišljarić, comes to life on the stage of the Marin Držić Theatre. The evening at Advent Park continues with a Dino Dvornik Tribute concert starting at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, 19 December is dedicated to Days of Cod, organised by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board in cooperation with local restaurants, starting at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., the Cabrio Bus tours the city with the Taliri Quartet and festive animation. Afternoon workshops continue in LEMIonica and with children’s art workshops, concluding with Christmas wreath-making at 6 p.m.

The First Dubrovnik Vinyl DJ Festival, celebrating vinyl culture and DJ-ing, begins at 4 p.m. at Love Bar. The Rector’s Palace hosts a guided exhibition on the history of the Dubrovnik tram at 5 p.m., while Dubrovnik Libraries hold a children’s art workshop. At 6 p.m., a lecture by theatre scholar Petra Jelača marks anniversaries of Branko Gavella and Marko Fotez. The Nutcracker returns at 7 p.m., followed by evening concerts at Advent Park and in front of the Student Dormitory, with performances by Magazin and, on Saturday, Vanna.

Ice rinks in Lapad and Mokošica are open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The carousel at Pile operates weekdays from noon to 8 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

To facilitate access to Advent programmes, free Libertas bus transport is available daily from 5 p.m. until the last departure. Additionally, the DU Pass price has been reduced from €40 to €20.

The City of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, in cooperation with cultural institutions and public companies, have prepared a rich programme for all generations. All you need to do is come—aromas, flavours and irresistible rhythms will take care of the rest.
